Works across BMO to deliver specific business results in alignment with overall group goals.
Core accountabilities:
- Help manage the investor subscription and redemptions process for all existing alternative investment products in conjunction with internal business partners and external vendors.
- Key point of contact for back office, middle office, and dealer service teams.
- Lead resolution for operational issues that otherwise impede successful investor and dealer adoption (including collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve, as required).
- Resolves internal, complex or higher risk investor escalations or policy exceptions.
- May include interactions with clients and sales.
- Continuously improves processes to identify issues and deliver optimal investor experience.
- Assist National Accounts team in obtaining necessary dealer approvals for new alternative investment product launches.
- Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
- Support existing platform for issues arising with vendors and internal stakeholders on topics such as transfer agency, fund accounting and investment operations.
- Oversee comprehensive competitive and industry analyses to support the development of all new product initiatives, ensuring alignment with market trends and company objectives.
- Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendation.
Qualifications:
- Typically, between 5-7 years of experience and post-secondary degree.
- Ideally +3 years of directly relevant experience in Asset Management, Investment Product Management, Wealth Management Operations or Dealer Services roles.
- Must be intellectually curious, particularly about asset management and alternative investments.
- In depth verbal & written communication skills.
- In-depth analytical and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth data driven decision-making.
