As part of the Culture and Talent Management team, the Talent Practices team is accountable for defining the talent strategy for leadership assessments and executive coaching in alignment with our long-term talent and organizational goals.
Reporting to the Team Lead - Talent Practices team and working in collaboration with partners across Talent, HR and the businesses, the Specialized HR Associate plays a key role in maintaining our function as the centre of excellence for external development programs by supporting the accelerated development of our high potential leaders enterprise-wide.

Job Description:
Specific accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
External Development Program Management:
- Support of TD's external development programs (i.e. coaching, assessments, etc.) which includes:
- Serve as the primary liaison for external assessment vendors and executive coaches, including evaluating potential new vendors, leading onboarding processes, and maintaining collaborative relationships.
- Facilitate intake calls with HR partners to assess the development needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Providing proactive and thoughtful external development recommendations in support of our high potential leader's individual development plans to help accelerate their development.
- Scheduling executives for various external development offerings
- Proactively identify and recommend leaders for assessments and coaching opportunities, leveraging data insights or business input
- Identify emerging trends in executive coaching, leadership development, & assessments, and contribute to knowledge-sharing and sharing best practices.
- Ownership of detailed tracking of all external development activities for high potential resources to support our HR partners with development tracking.
- Invoice payment and tracking to support TD's development spend.
- Conduct post implementation reviews and program evaluations to provide better recommendations around program usage in support of our talent mandate.
- Partner with HR teams to ensure HR and business leaders understand and effectively utilize TD's external development offerings.
Program Design:
- Complete program effectiveness review for executive coaching & leadership assessments and identify annual program enhancements in alignment with our talent strategy.
- Continual process realignment of existing programs in order to better support the business of HR and the development of our high potential leaders
Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with existing external coaches and consultants as a means to bring their institutional knowledge back to TD in support of overall leadership development
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with external development vendors in support of providing thoughtful recommendations
- Apply business acumen and HR expertise to develop solutions and provide strategic advice to our business partners; executing with excellence to proactively deliver integrated results
- Act as a liaison with business partners in support of talent management programs and initiatives
Analytical Expertise:
- Prepare quarterly coaching & leadership assessment insights reports, sharing trends, insights, investments presented at the organizational level and specific to each line of business.
- Responsible for the preparation and analysis of complex reporting required by business partners, and for ongoing talent management activities ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of data.
- Manage input, validate and run reports using an Access Database housing senior executive development data
- Research, assess, interpret and validate data patterns in support of key talent objectives
Technical Skills:
- Technical/systems knowledge or experience required including direct exposure to Microsoft Office products (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint and Word) and SuccessFinder Assessment would be considered a strong asset.
- Proven analytical capability and problem-solving skills
Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills
- Demonstrated excellence in communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Proven analytical capability and problem solving skills
- High degree of personal integrity with an ability to maintain confidentiality and utilize discretion with working with sensitive executive information
- Ensure high quality work and maintenance of standards within own area of responsibility
- Very high attention to detail and high standards for precision in deliverables
- Demonstrate resiliency, flexibility and self-motivation supporting a team in a flex work environment (AWS)
- Challenges the status quo to find new and creative solutions
- Demonstrate a willingness to further develop capabilities
- HR and Talent Management experience, specifically with leadership assessments, considered an asset
