This is a Hybrid, Toronto based role, mandated to provide subject matter expertise through advanced customer analytics, delivering meaningful insights that drive business results in alignment with overall group goals.
  • Gathers and analyzes data using technical data mining software such as SAS, Power BI or Python; formats Big Data into regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards; and highlights significant information regarding trends, opportunities and exposures.
  • Independently produces & summarizes statistical findings, draws business conclusions, and presents actionable business recommendations used in the management of risks and related activities (e.g. Customer insights and risk management strategies/tactics).
  • Identifies customer trends and patterns to address identified business questions and provide insights through reporting and data visualization techniques.
  • Develops presentations to effectively storyboard analytical insights, summarize statistical findings, draws conclusions and present actionable business recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Develops and maintains customer strategies using analytics, predictive modelling and business rules to optimize decisions and productivity.
  • Works with data owners to discover and select available data sources from internal sources and external vendors (e.g. lending system, payment system, external credit rating system) to fulfill analytical needs.
  • Presents findings & recommendations in a simple, clear way to drive action.
  • Executes work to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service for scheduled reporting production processes.
  • Applies expertise and thinks creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine.
  • Supports the execution of accurate and efficient reporting solutions for risk, regulatory and management information to internal and external stakeholders including regulatory bodies.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to assigned business/group.
  • Assists in the development of strategic plans.
  • Identifies emerging external issues and trends to inform decision-making and internal action.
  • Conducts analysis required to inform strategic recommendations and considers the "big picture" when assessing whether or not a course of action is advisable in terms of the group and enterprise goals.
  • Collaborates with internal & external stakeholders to provide business context in the design, develop and implementation of programs & solutions.
  • Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.
  • Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
  • Embraces broader work or expanded accountabilities that are assigned.
  • Fosters a culture aligned to BMO purpose, values and strategy and role models BMO values and behaviours in all that they do.

Qualifications:
  • Typically between 4 - 6 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Storyboarding in PowerPoint, insight development and reporting - In-depth/Expert
  • Extensive Experience with data mining software/language such as SAS/SQL/Python - In-depth/Expert
  • In-depth/expert knowledge of reporting & analytics concepts and applications.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills - In-depth/Expert

  • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.

Salary :

$74,800.00 - $138,600.00

The above represents BMO Financial Group's pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
